Max Montag

Max, a native of Missouri, moved to Colorado during the summer of 2013 to attend Denver University, Sturm College of Law. During law school and following his admission to the Colorado Bar in October of 2016, the majority of Max’s practice was devoted to family law. Max has extensive experience handling a wide range of domestic relations matters in the Colorado Court of Appeals and District Courts throughout the state.

Beginning in February 2019 and continuing through the present, Max has provided litigation support and served as co-counsel to clients involved in a wide range of general civil and commercial litigation matters. Since joining Principle Law in May 2021, Max has continued to hone his litigation skills and Max has geared his practice towards representing small businesses and individuals facing contractual and corporate disputes.

Max possesses the knowledge and experience to confidentially handle every stage of the civil litigation process, including, initial case analysis and evaluation; drafting demand letters; drafting and filing initial pleadings; researching and briefing motions to dismiss; disclosures and discovery; general motions practice; case settlement negotiations and mediation; trial preparation; attending trial; post-trial matters; and appeals.

Max knows the law, he is extremely well-prepared and he employs a strategic approach when representing each and every one of his clients. Max possesses the skillset and determination to obtain the best possible result for his clients and Max is not afraid to litigate a case if settlement is not a viable option.
